Avicii's music was so special to me. It was always something unique with his music something only Avicii could do. Every time new music by him came out me and my friend discussed how much of a genius he was. He inspired me and made me more interested in music and as a fellow Swede he also gave me hope. He will forever be missed.

If I got to choose one artist to listen to everyday for the rest of my life I would choose without a doubt Avicii. He helped me during a dark time but I am sad that we couldn't help him. 🙁 His songs inspired me to be a better person. May he RIP.

I only discovered about Avicii almost a decade ago when I heard that an artist in Sweden was giving away 90% of his earnings to charities and I thought how wonderful and I hoped to meet him and work with him someday in the future. Then news of his untimely death came and it broke me. It made me more determined and furious towards the ideal and commitment that the music industry has to change – the excessive drinking and drugs have to stop. We must protect our artists.

I knew Tim's songs when I was 5. I really liked them and I started to listen to more of them. When I knew he died I was very sad. I honestly wanted to die too. All your songs got me through tough times. The Nights brought me back from the brink of self-harm. The Days helped me remember the good parts of an old friendship. Waiting for Love let me cry when the going got hard. Without You helped me through a breakup and months later I still have the lyrics printed out and in my room. Hey Brother brought me and my brother closer together. We love you Avicii so long.
Avicii lit up the world in so many ways. We all appreciated him for taking some of the darkness out of our lives but it came at the price of him taking the darkness onto himself. Avicii was more than just a DJ: he brought people together and inspired everyone with his meaningful music.
