My girlfriend and I were embarking on an early test of our relationship a road trip from Pittsburgh to Arizona to move me across the country for an indefinite work assignment while she remained in Pittsburgh. We listened to Wake Me Up on repeat for much of the trip. It was on this trip I realized I needed her in my life forever. Within 6 months I permanently relocated to Pittsburgh and we've now been married 3+ years. This song still takes me back to those early days in our relationship.

It is so sad to see such a talented person go. You have so much more to give to the world. You will always be in my heart.

I just really loved his music. It made me happy. It shaped and changed how I listened to music. It made me want to dance and cry and live life inspired. I met and bonded with many people through it. When he passed I will admit I had not listened to much of his music for a while and it felt like I'd betrayed him but I realize now that his music was always there for me. It pains me that we couldn't personally help him. I thank him for giving us so many beautiful songs and changing our lives.

I remember when I first heard Levels that's when I realized I fell in love with EDM music. First ever EDM concert I ever saw was Ultra I always watched it live since 2012 and I remember Avicii playing his set. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on a screen. He had such an impact on music in general and he has always been such a great inspiration of my producing dream. I wish I could just like him one day. Rest Easy Tim.

Growing up in the UK Avicii's song 'Bromance' hit the UK charts followed later by 'Levels' and I fell in love with his style. It's crazy how much melodic presence Tim's songs have and it feels like each and every song has a different set of emotions yet keeps stylistic elements to a perfect degree where you could always tell it was Avicii. Overall Tim's songs have helped me through so many different decisions in life and through his music he will live on Rest In Peace Tim you will be missed!

Avicii's music was a big part of my childhood and was the first contact with EDM for little me. He continued to support me through his music and is to this day one of my favourite artists ever. May he rest in peace

Avicii was a extremely talented human being. His music touched so many souls mine especially. His passion & dedication to his work showed no boundaries. A life lost too soon. I always associated Avicii's music with positive energy and feelings and especially memories. It is heartbreaking that such young talented person departed so early but if that can be a grain of consolation his legacy will last on trough collective memory of us all who were touched by his musical creations and especially of those who are yet to get to know his songs for the first time. I listened you for the first time in 2009 from that moment I fell in love with your songs and your melodies until today I listen to you but when you went to another life I had a creative block in terms of creating melodies beacuse i could´t believe it. Every once in a while I get melancholic and sad about your departure since you were and will be my inspiration it's sad to think that I can not go to a show of yours that depresses me thanks for everything you will live in a part of me.

honestly i didn't have a story with Tim's music until now. I recently viewed his documentary and it was the most touching thing I've watched. I want to be here for anyone that struggles with depression anxiety or anything that overwhelms their thoughts. We cannot let another beautiful life go. We are all gifted and yes it took a simple movie for me to even realize this for myself. Dear God life is beautiful. People are beautiful. And this is something we can't take for granted.

I wasn't a huge fan of Avicii but a small number of his songs meant a lot to me and my family. They… He was great. It's difficult to believe that he won't be creating anymore. It's very sad.

When I was little I would be pushed around and ignored but when I got home I would listen to Avicii and all the sadness went away. He was right in "the nights" he is remembered the life he lived and the lives he touched. It is a tragedy that he is gone but he will never be forgotten. Requiescat in pace Tim.

Avicii was an incredible musician with exceptional talent. So sad to have him die so young. Your music will be appreciated for ages to come.

i first started listening to avicii back in 2014 when times got hard for me his song wake me up hit me it helped me get through a dark and deppressing time so if he is lookiing down on all of us from above lets just say wake me up when its all over

It's already been almost a year since you've passed. I still can't believe it. There was a time in my life where music was the only place I could turn to and relax. Avicii's music inspiring to me and it kept pushing me forward. To this day I still have all of the albums on shuffle in my car on my phone and on my computer. Even though I did not see Avicii live in concert I really connected with his music. There weren't many DJ's like him who created such a unique sound to his music. Some of my favorite songs today were written and produced by him and I perform them when I gig as well. I am a singer/guitarist and will always be inspired by Avicii who was to me one of the best DJ's to ever live. Rest in Peace
