What happens when your idol dies? 2014 marked the year when I discovered my passion for EDM music and DJing. I asked my parents to let me take a DJ course and after 6 months I received my Professional DJing certificate. And that my friends is how the journey of my career hobby and passion began. The first DJ to really inspire me to become who I am now and create a burning passion for EDM music was Tim Bergling or as he is known worldwide Avicii.

I was listening and dancing yr songs for years but from the beginning I always wondered why such a young boy full of talent success and money mixed together with so much musical joy words full of sadness hope bitterness something tragic too. Wake me up is an example but there are many others I would say almost all and I didn’t really understand. Answer came seeing your movie on Netflix. U were my favorite DJ but I didn’t know what behind. I'm so sorry Tim I feel a lot of pain for you ???

I used to listen to a few Avicii songs such as Wake Me Up and Hey Brother. Needless to say Tim helped me a lot when I had nothing to do.

Back in late 2013 I discovered EDM because my friend back in elementary showed me a song that has the same genre as Avicii's. Avicii has been popping up on the radio back then. Most of Avicii's songs are the reason I'm into a whole bunch of EDM subgenres. Until this day I still love EDM and all these subgenres relating to it thanks to Avicii! Rest in Piece ??

His music has some kind of genius you can listen to it over and over again it never gets boring and if you listen carefully you can always discover new facettes. Avicii and his music were part of the best period of my life. 'The Nights' was the first song of his I listened to and boy oh boy was I hooked. No matter where or when his music always provided me with motivation and a positive outlook on life taking me back to memories old. His death was one of the few that truly shocked me and the fact that there won't be more of his upbeat tunes is one of the greatest tragedies. But his legacy shall live on in our hearts and ears. Rest in Peace Tim.

I had the pleasure of known about Avicii's music when i was a little girl. "Wake me up" was and still being one of my favorite songs ever… I really miss about Tim's news songs performances and the vibe he transmited through his songs and his way to be. I'm still missing him until today.

While getting through Engineering in College Avicii’s music provided me the sense of joy and that feeling of living life to the max that I needed. His music created a deeper bond with my friends as we shared beautiful moments dancing and living life as young college adults. Till the day he died I told people that he was my favorite music artist and I'm really sad I won't get to hear any more of his music but sadder than that we have lost such an incredible soul and inspiration to more musicians than anyone else.

I was and am a huge Avicii fan. His death was so rough on the fan base and myself for that matter. However the legacy he created in his short time with us will echo for centuries. God only knows what I’d have been if you hadn’t been a friend of mine.

my friends and i listened to his song "wake me up" at a birthday party in middle school we had it on repeat. we all sang together and danced around and it really felt like we were all connected in the moment. i will never forget it.
