Wake me up was one of the first songs I put in my playlist ever since I got into pop music. Avicii is still a legend to me.

I was heading over to a friend's place looking out the bus window with headphones in jamming to "wake me up". Every time I listen to Avicii I think of the nights where I really wish that I could stay forever this young the nights I try living a life I will remember.

Unfortunately I’ve never met Avicii. But as a true artist and such a passionate soul he brought happiness into my life and many other’s lives. I’m still broken by his death till this very day and it hurts because I feel like I’ve lost a loved one. The fact that he was so pressured and wasn’t able to come out of this vicious cycle of being surrounded by money driven people really sucks. The industry is dark and gloomy. I love you Avicii and I know your soul is resting in eternal peace. ❤️ You.

Man how do I say this without being too corny? Well Tim you have been a big influence in my life. I have listen to your songs over and over since 2013 while playing games. Your song "The Nights" and "Addicted to You" were the all time favorites of mine. You have influenced me to play music and your songs will always be remembered. Avicii is one of the first DJs I ever really got into listening to and he made me have such a better appreciation for music. I loved every one of his songs and I was waiting for the day when I could see him in concert. I hope he's in a better place now.

Avicii's music was a safe haven for me. I started listening to him back in 2013 right before 'Wake Me Up' was released. This was also around the time that I began to experience irrational anxiety attacks that haunted me for years. I would play his music for hours listening to his songs when I did homework when I was doing chores or when I felt alone. He helped me through such a dark time in my life. I am so grateful to have him as such a large part of my life. He will never be forgotten!

I remember in middle school when I first heard wake up me and I immediately wanted to know who sung it and if there was a music video of it so I went home and found the song and started dancing to it and had it on repeat for a week it made me feel alive and free I remember drawing the symbol on my wrist that related to the song I love him and I hope he is in a better place.

I grew up listening to Avicii his songs built me up and made me the girl that I am. I wouldn't be the same without his music. His songs are a guide to those who are lost. On 20 March my heart turned into pieces. I will never thank him enough. Love u Tim. ❤️

Tim Your music was initially the soundtrack to my last year in college & my first years in the "real world". Each song holds a special memory for me & whenever I hear them it takes me back to that time place and people I shared it with. Your music will always put a smile on my face. If I'm ever feeling down it always cheers me up. I only saw him once at my first EDC. I didn't know any of his songs at the time but he was definitely a stand out performance of the weekend. Less than a month after he died I went to a Tritonal show and they played "Wake Me Up" in it's entirety as a tribute. I cried shamelessly. It was beautiful and heart wrenching moment.
