The Avicii Memory Board

I used to say that somebody else is better than Avicii because I never fully discovered all of his songs. But when I saw the documentary “True Stories” I realized that he has a potential to inspire people and he had a heart that touches people not only through his amazing songs but the way he is him. When Avicii died I was too late to say that he really was the best. For me I don’t think he wants to be remembered as the best DJ but rather a great person who changed and inspired people. ♥️U

Avicii was my first idol. I remember my English teacher gave us an assigment about our favourite artist. I did my presentation about him. I remember that back in 2012 not many of my classmates knew him but since that moment they associate him with me because of the passion and effort that I put into that presentation as all I wanted was to show them my idol. I even made a poster! I will always remember him while thinking about my teenage years because he was the perfect soundtrack.

I'm 14 and there's no words how much Avicii changed me. Growing up as an outgoing yet introverted person I grew up loving dance music since I heard Wake Me Up in the radio. Even though I've never been to one of his shows it was always a dream seeing him in person. Knowing that ain't possible now I still listen to his music and remind myself of how much he changed a lot of people in this world. We miss you Avicii and you would always be a legend that lives on. Rest easy <3

Tim made me love electronic music my first tattoo was his symbol on my wrist. When the news came that on March 29th he would do something that would change the scene I thought it was a new album but it was his retirement on my birthday I cried. But I was happy because I knew he needed this rest and I was also happy that he was enjoying his vacation and also producing a new album. When I heard of his death I shuddered. I look forward to the posthumous album. Wherever you are thanks Tim.◢◤

Avicii was the first music producer I ever listened to. He inspired me to start getting involved with music production. But mostly he and his songs were there for me. All the time. During my time at high school were I had trouble socializing his songs were keeping me company while studying and at my free time. When we were going on school trips and I was listening to his music people started talking to me because they found a common interest with me. I owe a lot to Avicii. I definitely miss him

Yesterday I listened to ”I could be the one” and I started crying. Along with my friends that song was the only thing that made me get up in the morning when I was on my last two years of high school. I suffered from extreme anxiety and I felt trapped in my everyday life. But that song and avicii’s music just made me feel.. free:’)

Being a DJ I love playing progressive house music. 'LEVELS' From Avicii was something which just brought me into this Dance Music Industry. Since then TIM was like a mentor for me I follow him in everything . It was always a dream to attend at least one of the his Show. I think my dream will now never be fulfilled. A few years back I had two besties. We were living on the two sides of the same street. Level was THE hit in those days. One evening we opened the windows put Levels and danced. Each one in her living room. Just for that one song. Shortly after one of my besties moved to another country. Two years later I moved to Stockholm. We never met again the three of us. I remember that I always kept an eye for Avicii since my danceclasses was in the neighbourhood where he used to live. I really wished to meet him on a concert or just on the street.
