Avicii's music was unique. It made me feel a lot of different emotions. I had no idea of the struggles he was going through and it breaks my heart. It hits close to home having lost people in my life to depression. I still grieve for you we all grieve and miss you. Thank you for your amazing music and for bringing people closer together. I have to confess I don't know him until he died. But back then my life was hard and I was a failure. Like others thought that suicide helps. But I then heard your music can't tell that it's good how many times have I heard it but I know it is one of the reason makes me the happy man I am today. So sorry for not knowing your talent sooner and thank you for being a part of my memory as much as I hope you will do the same for my brother (Who also suffers from Suicidal ideation)

Jag var 9 år väntade på min storebror när han hade tennisträning och dansarna i hallen bredvid dansade till en låt jag föll för direkt men inte skulle veta namnet på förrän den dök upp på Youtube ett tag senare. OOH SOMETIMES I GET A GOOD FEELINGG YEAH. Sån lycka när jag hittade den. Du var alltid en gigant i mina ögon men på senare tid har jag sett dig mycket mer som Tim än Avicii. Otroligt saknad. 💙
Moving really hurt me when I was little. Another state far away from all my friends. I cried almost every single day. I didn't understand why I was sad I just knew that I was. In fifth grade my friend made me listen to The Nights. It changed my life and from then on I was hooked. I may not have know Avicii in person but he was there for me through the ups and downs in my childhood. Being my one true friend I could always rely on to get me by.

Avicii was the artist that made me fall in love with music. His music made me dream about creating my own and I wanted to be the best dj on earth. I gave up on this dream beacuse of the documentary it made me feel bad. But his music will forever be in my heart.

I heard "Wake Me Up" at places where I happen chanced. I asked a worker "Who did that song? He replied "Avicii". I didn't hear a second name so asked again. He solemnly repeated "Avicii". I intended to find out what I missed but forgot. I saw the google tribute to Tim last night and learned his story. The pain struck me raw. My father committed suicide the year Tim was born. I remembered the difficulty of saying "suicide"as his father did. I needed the work of his Foundation then.

My story is similar to Avicii's i guess. I struggle with suicide depression self-harm and anxiety. The 1st song of his i ever heard was Wake Me Up. carried me through a really rough time in life. Then Hey Brother and The Nights. Finally Waiting For Love. That last one still gets me a lot. Thinking about one of my heroes just gone like that is awful. I have to keep fighting for him. I hope i see him in heaven someday i have so much to say. *tears* peace out bro

wake me up. every single week we would tap dance to this song. my coach would do it for every class she had and it became a ritual and a song that meant much more to me than she perhaps thought it would to those of us who had been here for years marking the familiar patterns with our feet. i had to quit dance but this song still means so much and keeps the rhythms of our feet alive in my heart. thank you avicii for creating such beautiful music for making the world a bit brighter.
