I have to admit I was never a fan of EDM but when i first heard Levels i was sold started following your work wishing I could go to one of your concerts. My taste in music changed and all because of you. I was happy when I listened to your songs I still get emotional and that is what Music is about feelingsforever grateful and will miss you. I can remember when I was at my lowest my friend made me blast Levels and forced me to dance around laughing and fist pumping in my room. His music to me is symbolic of joy and friendship. I'm sorry you couldn't find peace here with us Tim. We miss you.
Avicii is childhood for me. All the summer days we were sitting outside and listening to his music. The world was friendly and good. We had no problems. He will be always in our hearts. When I was 11 years old I listened to "The nights" on VIVA that music channel and sung along with it altough I didn't know the lyrics and was barely able to sing anything in english so it was probably the weirdest mix of german and some fictional language invented by me. At this point I've never heard of Avicii before but it quickly changed and "The nights" became also the first song I had on my MP3 Player. It was late 2015 when I heard 'Waiting For Love'. That was the first song I had heard from him and also one of the first English songs I had ever heard. It got me hooked. I was 9 years old then. I saw the lyrics video on TV. And I literally cried. One of the few times I've cried since then was when I heard he had died. In my language we have a saying "When a great person dies it marks the ending of an era." It felt like the ending of an era then. Many good wishes from India. R.I.P Avicii
